Hi all, and so it begins, kind off. I'm currently at college studying on a access course to university. Today my I finally completed my UCAS entry form and submitted it. And you've probably guessed by now I want to become a male midwife. Yes a male midwife. Yesterday I attended a uni open day, which I really enjoyed, and gave me the push I needed to get my entry form in. The bad news is their are only 15 places with around 30 candidates for each place, so fingers crossed , toes crossed and anything else I can cross. Now its a waiting game just to see if I get to the first stage of an interview.
So a little bit about me. Well I'm 28 with three young children. Previous jobs include being a submariner in the British Royal Navy for some years and more recently being in charge of a team of dreaded parking attendants. I've decided to write this blog to keep you up to date on my experiences on hopefully becoming a male midwife, the highs and lows, and hopefully a lot of laughs. The next blog I will let you know if I've heard anything, and how college is going.
