Good luck - I know of someone who was in his thirties when he started training to became a psychiatric nurse and he made it - I am sure you will have every chance to as well!

There's not many males out there doing the job, but those i have spoken to say they never have any problems, and some mothers have told me they had a male midwive and found them to be great more…

A Male Midwife? Now there's an ambition I've never considered! :) I'd have thought (off hand and in total ignorance) that some women might find that hard to accept. Hopefully I'm wrong.
